Title: Leave No One Behind - Technology powering inclusive business models
In the past decade some innovative technology businesses, in emerging markets, have reimagined financial services business models, bringing millions of previously excluded people into the formal economy for the first time. The issue of unequal access and exclusion cuts across many sectors, including but not limited to financial services, healthcare and education. For many people around the world this inequality radically diminishes their lifetime opportunities for economic prosperity, social mobility and well-being. In this decade of action for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), how can business leaders make the best use technology to rethink their business models and contribute to building a global future of shared prosperity, leaving no one behind? With a focus on sustainability and closing the economic divide, this talk will explore the key technology, business model and product innovation imperatives to build inclusive companies that scale. The talk will also explore the added complexities of achieving this in frontier markets. | |
