MBA Modular Programme Format & Delivery
The Modular MBA programme is suited to students who are seeking international insights in an African and South African context and are looking to study part-time over a two year period.
- Students will be required to take no more than 40 days of leave from work during the two-year programme, with no more than 20 days of leave expected during each year. About a third of these days will be hybrid (with the option to join in person on the GSB campus or online, without traveling to Cape Town). All students are expected to take leave from work for these days, whether they join in person or online.
- In addition to these full class days students will be expected to do some coursework outside of business hours throughout the programme (i.e. during evenings and weekends). This work will be as flexible as possible, but students must be able to make time for this work throughout the two years of the programme.
- Between the blocks, students will have online classes one to two evenings per week throughout both years of the programme. These classes will typically run on Tuesdays (and some Thursdays where necessary) from 19:00 – 21:30.
- All students are required to travel to Cape Town twice per year (four times in total during the programme).
- In addition, students are strongly recommended to travel to Cape Town in January/February of their second year.
- NB: Students will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation during the required weeks in Cape Town.
